I hate meeses to pieces


I can remember being a very young boy having a crush on a pretty little girl named Latasha I'll never forget her name even though I have not seen her since 1986 and i never spoke a word to her because i was too shy and to be frank scared to death to even say as much as hi to her. Fast forward a couple of years I'm watching a movie I cant remember the name of and I hear this story I can't forget. Two mice:mouse 1 and mouse 2 are hungry in their hole. Mouse 1 says "We can go out get that bread from the top of the refrigerator and eat good for days." Mouse 2 says "but what if theres a cat or traps out there we can't leave the safety of the hole." Mouse 1 replies"I hungry" and he leaves Mouse 2 stays behind. What happened to mouse 1? Unknown.Maybe the cat got him,maybe the traps,or maybe he found food found a lady mouse and lived happily ever after. Mouse2 stayed behind in the "SAFETY" and definitely STARVED TO DEATH! Rewind back to me as a little one. I wanted to be mouse 1 but my own fear of rejection became mouse 2 and talked so loudly that i didn't notice that little Latasha was looking back at me, but i stayed where it was "SAFE."
2010 how can this story relate to you? Well that RAT called fear can destroy any goal young or old! What is your goal? What are you hungry for? start something new? Or is your goal to lose weight but that little disease carrying vermin of a rodent is saying"whatifiworkhardandIdon'tloseweightandIheardyoucangethurtifyoudon'tlifttherightwayandmyfriendsaidherpersonaltrainerkepthittingonher." Well here is your chance to SHUT THAT PEST THE HELL UP! Find your faith and step out on it that's the only you can get to where you want!Staying where you are and sitting on your assets will give you a true definite result...NOTHING! But the other way:going for the goal chasing your dream the SKY IS THE LIMIT! Are you ready?

WISHES DON'T BRING RICHES


If two people say they want to be major Hollywood actors. Person A sets no plans will just wait for Quentin Tarantino to walk into Kroger and say "would you like to star in my next movie".Person B plans to hire an acting coach, get head shots taken by good photographer,and go on every casting call they can. Both are plausible stranger things have happen BUT my MONEY is on PERSON B! This person took destiny by the nads! Turned wishes to goals backed it with desire then put together a PLAN! Whats the reason for this story? For you to hear what I hear when someone tells me they want to lose weight.I hear so many person A's are out there letting their health destiny be in the hands of the latest Infomercial, Diet Pills, and yes even the hands of their PERSONAL TRAINER(omg). Why don't they work? These things are tools not ultimates. Too much of pixie dust and magic pill ways of thinking creating more and more person As. Nothing good will come to anyone if he/she doesn't give something for it.

So here are some tips for your tools to work correctly:
SET A GOAL
If you don't know where you want to go then you don't care where you end up!
Be S.M.A.R.T.(Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Timely) when creating goals
ex."I plan to lose 50lbs by January 2011"

SET A BURNING DESIRE
If you don't want it bad enough you will give up the second things get hard.If you see yourself at your desired goal and embellish it could give you the I KNOW I CAN mentality to push you through the rough spots.
ex."I am at my desired weight and I fit into my clothes I wore in HIGH SCHOOL."

SET A PLAN
"If you fail to plan you plan to fail"
ex."I plan to follow the 4 days on 2 days rest workout plan at my Crossfit gym.Eat correctly following the Paleo diet plan and take my fish oils as directed."

SET A SELF TALK
Lets put it all together.Self Talk is a common denominator with all successful people. From 1st round draft picks to Internet moguls a mantra is one of the things they have in common. With this self talk your goals go from wishes(wishes don't bring riches) to wills(wills pay the bills)

getting started



How do you approach a fitness program? And one thats


right for you? In my case I came from a background of


athletics and martial arts so I wanted something constantly


challenging to compliment my past endeavours, so I chose


ross training first then made the transition to crossfit.When


I decided to make the move certain factors had to be in place


for this lifestyle change to take place: goal setting, stick with


ability and seeing my goals to the end.
